The quarterfinal rounds of the Young Actuaries World Cup hosted by the International Actuarial Association (IAA) in cooperation with actuview took place in January. All quarter finalists were invited to present their topics in more detail and answer the questions of the jury.
With so many interesting ideas from young talents, it was a tough decision for the six regional juries. Meet the contestants who made it directly into the semifinals to compete for a ticket to Sydney: Dorota Kowalczyk, Mika Lam Wang Hon, Herbin Thomas, José Miguel Flores Contro, Devyn McNicoll, and Cissy Zhang. The second placed participants of all six zones will go to a wild card round to seek a chance on the last two semifinal spots.
