CONVENTION A will be a new, truly international event, created by actuaries, for actuaries. CONVENTION A will not only offer five days of actuarial content but will also cover all time zones. This means that interested actuaries from all over the world can attend CONVENTION A at almost any time of day.
Running from 19 to 23 September, and organized by the European Actuarial Academy (EAA) in cooperation with actuview, CONVENTION A is based on a new event format: The congress program will be jointly created by many different partners and institutions of the actuarial profession. Among others, confirmed partners include
- the International Actuarial Association (IAA),
- the Actuarial Association of Europe (AAE),
- the CERA Global Association and Actuaires du Monde,
- universities from Fudan, China, and Ulm, Germany, as well as
- national associations of Austria, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, South Africa, Switzerland, USA.
The first confirmed Sponsoring Partner is the Reinsurance Group of America (RGA).
All of them will chose a topic and independently host at least one 4-hour expert session as part of the congress program. Additionally, five high-ranking keynote sessions during prime time discussing the most pressing and relevant topics of the actuarial profession will be a daily highlight for all participants.
