Under the theme ‘Connecting Knowledge’, this year’s event has set a new standard for online conferences in the international actuarial community.
From 19 to 23 September 2022 the European Actuarial Academy EAA with support of www.actuview.com organized the 1st CONVENTION A as an online only conference. More than ever before, actuarial institutions and high-ranking keynote speakers provided an exciting and inspiring program on today’s most relevant issues for actuaries from all fields.
1,400 spectators from 86 countries experienced a state-of-the-art online event that allowed them to schedule their personal program, join diverse sessions, catch missed presentations, and interact with speakers and the audience.
The event program was jointly created by many institutions from the actuarial community and companies active in the insurance industry. Each program partner designed at least one four-hour program block during the event week, and each participant found offerings in a convenient time zone. Daily plenary sessions rounded out the offerings. This combination made sure that CONVENTION A offered an attractive and unique networking experience for actuaries from all over the world as well as all engaged actuarial associations, universities, supranational umbrella associations, and partners from the industry.
