DGVFM CPD Days 2021

The German Society for Insurance and Financial Mathematics (DGVFM) has been organizing CPD Days for actuaries in Germany for several years. The aim of the training days is to present complex, current actuarial topics to a broader audience. Since 2019 the presentations in English language are published as recorded sessions here on actuview.


CPD Day of the DGVFM on 14 October 2021

Following the successfull first virtual workshop in March, the upcoming CPD Day of the DGVFM will also take place entirely online and revolve around the topic of InsurTechs. Moderated by Prof. Dr. An Chen (University of Ulm) and Prof. Dr. Stefan Weber (Leibniz University of Hanover), the program includes two top-class presentations:

  • „Digital Innovation in the Insurance Industry and the Role of the InsurTech Startups“, Prof. Dr. Thorsten Oletzky (TH Köln)
  • „Future of insurance pricing: Leveraging the transparency of GAMs and power of Machine Learning“, Guillaume Béraud-Sudreau (Akur8)

CPD Day of the DGVFM on 18 March 2021

The first virtual CPD Day with the topic „Cyber Risk and Insurance“ was held on Thursday, March 18, 2021 with these two in-depth presentations:

  • „Cyber Risk from Infancy to Growth“, Dr. Jürgen Reinhart (Munich Re)
  • „Cyber Risk and Cyber Insurance: Actuarial Challenges and Modelling Accumulation Risk with Marked Point Processes“, Gabriela Zeller (TU Munich)
