German associations DAV, DGVFM, and IVS sign Diversity Charter

The three German associations, German Association of Actuaries (DAV), Institute of Pension Actuaries (IVS) and German Society for Insurance and Financial Mathematics (DGVFM), are officially committed to the Diversity Charter, Charta der Vielfalt.

The Diversity Charter is an initiative to promote diversity within companies and institutions, under the patronage of German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, and has been signed more than 4,900 times.

Through these endorsements, the associations DAV, DGVFM, and IVS are sending a clear message, both internally and externally, affirming their commitment to cultivating an environment free from prejudice. The commitment extends to members, employees, and external associates alike. Both in the practical actuarial work, which DAV and IVS stand for, and in the university environment, which the DGVFM represents, they are committed to a positive cooperation with mutual respect for the individual background of each person. This applies regardless of, for example, age, ethnic origin and nationality, gender and gender identity, physical and mental abilities, religion and ideology, sexual orientation and social origin. This positioning reflects the diversity of the three associations of actuaries and of the scientists working in actuarial research.
