For the first Young Actuaries World Cup, the International Actuarial Association (IAA), in cooperation with actuview, called for participants under 35 years to submit short videos on how actuaries can contribute to abetter society, the future roles of the actuarial profession, or innovative ways of tackling some big issues.
Forty-four submissions were received by the deadline of 31 October. The expert jury will now judge all submissions in the six regional rounds withthe participants from Africa, Asia, Europe, North and Latin America, and Oceania. The best entries will enter the quarterfinals in January 2023.
The winner will be selected out of four finalists and announced at next year´s International Congress of Actuaries in Sydney, Australia, in May 2023.
